N55 Turbocharger Install Kit, OEM, Basic - F10 535i, F06/F13 640i, F02 740i, E70 X5 35i, E71 X6 35i

This bundle of OEM parts is the bare minimum of parts needed to replace the turbo on your 2011-7/2014 F10 535i, 2012-7/2013 F06/F13 640i, 2012-2015 F02 740i, 2011-2013 E70 X5 35i, and 2010-2013 E71 X6 35i model. When replacing the N55 turbo there are many parts that must be replaced and some that are simply a good idea to replace. This kit is intended for the ace DIYer who does not need all of the parts from one of our full kits and will re-use some original parts. There are some parts like clamps that can be re-used and new studs are not necessarily required (we include 3 new studs just in case a few back out).

Our installation kit consists of only Genuine BMW and OEM parts - nothing that we wouldn't use on our own BimmerWorld employee or project BMWs. As OEM these meet all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and are TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. All parts have a two year warranty. It should be noted that there are multiple methods for replacing the turbo and manifold on N55 models. BMW will remove the right side steering mount arm. Others say to remove the steering rack and sway bar. We have also seen the entire subframe, engine, and transmission dropped from underneath. With any method additional parts are likely required. Note for Xi xDrive models: more parts must be removed to access the turbo on Xi AWD models. This may include the axle shaft, subframe, right side engine mount, and steering rack. How much you remove is dependent on your abilities and tool chest. All of the parts in this kit are common to the Xi models, however, there may be other parts needed depending on how much more is removed for access.
