This is the original equipment / OE rear muffler, specifically for the 1972, 1973, and 1974 model BMW 2002tii, the original and now-classic fuel injected BMW that we love support with vintage parts like this. This rear exhaust muffler is amazingly still available and at last update was still priced somewhat attractively. 

Aftermarket exhausts may not be ideal for a well-kept classic like the 2002tii. If you prefer original BMW parts, as well as the same quality and sound as when your 2002tii was new, this is probably the replacement muffler piece you want.
