The E34 525i sounds very quiet from the factory, which is fine for many. They were designed to have a very subtle tone for the average 5 Series BMW owner, so there's only a whisper of the available performance of the awesome 24V M50 engine. A MagnaFlow exhaust cures that problem on the E34 525i with a wide-open performance muffler that offers a moderately aggressive sound. The smooth, deep tone is suitable for mild-mannered street cars driving around town, yet it opens up nicely under wide-open throttle to have you smiling all the way to the rev limiter.
