This metal seal is used to seal each pipe from the exhaust manifold or header to the front section 1 on E46 M3, E9X M3, and E85/E86 Z4M. The seals deform when the pipes are fully tightened down which makes them almost impossible to re-use.
Sold per gasket seal.
This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many gasket components. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. An aftermarket part may even have the same TUV approval as its OEM counterpart. The brand may even be OEM to another manufacturer besides BMW. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty - the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.
