Genuine BMW Bracket - 18211723649 - E36 & E36 M3

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 18211723649 (18 21 1 723 649) and is described as Genuine BMW Exhaust Bracket, as used on the six cylinder E36 3 series models and US spec E36 M3 models.

This metal "tang" bracket mounts to the center / cat section of the stock 6 cylinder exhaust and serves as the attachment point to the rubber exhaust hanger (sold separately).   

This metal mount tab / bracket can get rusty and break, causing the exhaust to droop, hang down awkwardly, or put unintended stresses on the remaining exhaust hangers. Replacement is the best fix. We also suggest buying new hangers (not included). 

This part is a Genuine BMW part, and replaces the older / previous BMW part number 18211744659 (18 21 1 744 659) which was replaced by this updated part number 18211723649 (18 21 1 723 649).
