Distilled Water - 1 Gallon Jug - 557864010

This is one gallon of distilled water, the only water you should use when mixing concentrated antifreeze / coolant. Distilled water has no added minerals (the type you'd find in well water or city tap water), which prevents mineral contamination inside of your cooling system. It's been steam distilled to remove all mineral impurities, making it safe for use in your BMW's engine and cooling system. Minerals from tap, well, or spring water can cause deposits, build up, internal oxidization, water pump bearing wear, metal and plastic degradation, and eventually premature cooling system failures. 

This should be mixed 50/50 (equal parts) with the BMW concentrated anti-freeze/ coolant. 

The BimmerWorld View: This is an item you can certainly pick up at your local grocery or big-box store, but we carry it as a convenience item for those that can't or prefer not to make the extra trip. Sourcing locally is a much less costly way to buy distilled water, but if having it shipped to your door is easier, we can do that too. Either way, we thought it was important to have this information posted for BMW (and other make) owners.
