This Inspection I oil change package for the 2011-2018 N63 V8 twin-turbo cars includes factory BMW 0W30 synthetic oil and an OEM Mahle oil filter. This kit includes everything you need for an oil change on F10 550i, F06/F13 650i, F01/F02 750i, E70/F15 X5 50i, and E71/F16 X6 50i models.

Kit Contents:

  • 10 quarts (9.46 liters)* of Genuine BMW 0W30 synthetic motor oil
  • 1 OEM Mahle oil filter kit

BMW 0W-30 Synthetic Engine Oil is exclusively formulated for BMW engines from the mid-90s forward. This oil provides the latest engine-protection technology with improved performance. The results are improved acceleration with better fuel economy and meets the criteria for BMW's extended service intervals.

* - early N63 engines take 9 liters; N63TU engines take 9.5 liters (total engine capacity). But actual drain is usually somewhat less. We recommend filling with 8.5 quarts, test drive, check the level, and add a quart if iDrive calls for it. Don't dump all 10 quarts in!

The Mahle oil filter kit includes the filter, two cap o-rings, and a drain plug crush seal. We insist on OEM or Original BMW filters for our customers. Mahle is an OE supplier to BMW for this and many other filters and components found in your BMW. As an original supplier, Mahle's filter products meet or exceed the requirements from BMW. They are engineered for the correct fit and filtration needs of the N63 V8 engines.

If you proactively maintain your car, and take interest in its care and performance, there are several other things to check during a routine oil change (aka Inspection I service):

  • top off and inspect other fluids: power steering, other hydraulic fluids, coolant, brake fluid (replace annually)
  • empty oil catch can (if added)
  • clean or replace engine air filters (replace annually)
  • clean or replace cabin air filters (replace annually)
  • set all tire pressures, including your spare (if equipped)
  • inspect brake pads and rotors
  • inspect serpentine belts for cracking
  • remove the top plastic "TwinPower Turbo" cover and inspect the turbos and lines for leaks
  • inspect all hoses, including power steering, for leaks or poor fitment
  • inspect intake boots for cracks or leaks

Take this opportunity to inspect the general condition of the engine bay and chassis. Staying ahead of problems, even minor ones, will help avoid major issues in the future. As well as help you get the most enjoyment from BMW ownership.
