Red Line 0W30 is a high-performance alternative for factory BMW 0W30 engine oil, with lower evaporation and higher strength from ZDDP levels and better base stocks.
Red Line 0W30 meets BMW LL-01 FE standards and is SL/SM/SN+/SP and ACEA A5/B5 rated. These are characteristics published by the oil manufacturers and Red Line products share or exceed the minimum standards set by BMW. Red Line 0W30 is similar to the BMW 0W30 but is formulated for high performance engines. It's high temperature performance is on par with Red Line 5W30 but the 0W rating will reduce emissions and wear in extreme cold climates. Red Line uses a better base stock (Group IV/V) than factory BMW oil (Group III) and it will have greater strength and consistency at high temps. Choose 0W30 oil for maximum efficiency in a daily driver or commuter car but with added strength. For spirited driving in warmer climates a 5W40 or 10W40 will provide better protection. Our recommended oil change interval is 5,000-6,000 miles with regular used oil analysis.

This is especially important as engines accumulate mileage and wear as a thinner oil won't be able to provide extra levels of protection. Red Line Oil includes the appropriate levels of anti-wear additives and ash content to ensure compatibility with factory emissions equipment.
