This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 32416782942 (32 41 6 782 942) and is described as the hydraulic fluid or power steering fluid reservoir for F10 535d/535i, F06/F13 640i, F01/F02 740i. This tank is only for models with Dynamic Drive or Adaptive Drive (suspension).

Fluid Note: these vehicles use hydraulic fluid (CHF, EHF) and not “power steering fluid” or ATF oil. The Dynamic Drive and Active Steering systems share the same fluid as the power steering pump and these systems require hydraulic fluid. It is vital that you use the correct fluid as the two cannot be mixed.
