This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 61316817624 (61 31 6 817 624) and is described as a Genuine BMW repair kit for the black ceramic gear selector lever on G30 5-series, G11/G12 7-series, G01 X3, and G02 X4. This replaces the trim on the outside of the gear lever if the original is broken or shows excessive wear.

This optional kit features a black ceramic coating that has a deep, lustrous black finish. This was an optional trim package on some BMW models (option code 04U1) but can be added later if you wish to upgrade. This is the trim on the gear selector only; additional trim on the center console is available separately.
