The AiM SOLO2 DL has data logging functions that allow you to overlay things like RPM, speed, throttle position, manifold pressure, and more. This cable plugs into your car's OBDII port and relays the data to the SOLO2 DL unit.
The OBD plug has limited data available but several key data sources are available -
- RPM
- Speed
- Engine coolant temp (not E46 M3)
- Throttle position
- Intake air temp
- Manifold pressure and flow (from the MAP sensor on turbo models)
- Fuel level
This cable is the easiest data cable for the SOLO2 DL - it simply plugs into the car's OBDII socket by the driver's left knee. This makes it easy to swap the SOLO2 between different cars. It's also not a permanent install like the CAN cable. However, the CAN cable will have more data sources available.
* - not all functions may be available on BMW OBD sources. We know all of the items on the list above are available for E46 M3 and E9X M3, except where noted. However, other data listed in AiM documentation may not be available.
