Genuine BMW MTF-LT-2 GL-4 Transmission Fluid, 1-Liter

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 83222339219 (83 22 2 339 219) and is described as Oil for Manual Transmission, MTF LT-2, 75W80. BMW has approved this fluid for use in manual transmissions used in E36, E46, E9X M3, E34, E39, E60, E63, E53 X5, and Z8 Roadster models. Use this oil if your transmission has a MTF label on the side.

This is a Genuine BMW LT-2 in the 1-liter bottle. Buying a Genuine part will usually be more expensive than an OEM or aftermarket brand but you are assured that it meets BMW's designs for fitment, performance, and longevity. BMW has released newer formulas of MTF (LT-3, LT-4, LT-5) but LT-2 is still sought after for its preferred cold temp smoothness. There's no telling if/when BMW will discontinue the LT-2 spec but we have seen OEM fluid suppliers stop offering it. As an alternative, we have found the Red Line MT-LV fluid to be the same or superior in some situations (see link below).
