This is a basic kit focusing on the two hoses attached to the ICV, the clamps for the hoses, and the clamps for removing the intake airbox plenum, and a new idle control valve. New clamps are not required - IF you can properly remove the original crimp-style clamps with the correct crimp pliers. But we didn't want you to be without proper clamps while doing the job. Contact us if you'd like a kit without the clamps.
Following the BMW procedure for replacing the ICV requires removing the intake plenum. There are several other hoses and hardware attached to the plenum that could be replaced. These are related to the crankcase vent, brake vacuum, and other systems. However, replacement parts are quite pricey and makes a “basic kit” much more expensive. USE CAUTION REMOVING OTHER HOSES on the plenum!! BMW used plastic for nearly everything and cheaper aftermarket replacements do not exist.
