N52 Manifold Upgrade Intermediate Kit - E82 128i, E9X 328i

This 330i manifold installation kit sits between full and basic kits when installing the 330i N52 intake manifold on your E82 128i or E90/E92/E92/E93 328i (N52). Kit includes:
 

• 11617559530, Rein crankcase vent hose. This has a very fragile plastic connector that will likely break off your original manifold. Even if it comes off clean it's a good idea to replace the hose anyway as they clog with oil residue.
• 11617579114, Rein lower DISA valve
• 11617560538, Rein upper DISA valve
• 11617547242, OEM manifold gasket set

Important Recall Information: the 90° angle connector on the underside of the manifold is a crankcase vent heater (aka "blow-by heater"). It's part of a factory BMW recall campaign due to a risk of fire. When buying a used manifold it may come with the original defective connector. Hopefully your original heater has already been replaced under this recall so you can transfer it to your new manifold. We can also supply you with the new BMW version of this part (see link below) or you can ask your BMW dealer if they will replace it for you before installing your 330i manifold.

If you're buying a used intake manifold there are a few items that should be replaced but you probably don't need a complete overhaul. You may not need the DISA valves if the manifold comes with them but you should definitely remove them for inspection. Make sure the frame and flap mechanism are not broken and that the seal around each DISA is not damaged (the seal is not available separately from BMW). Test the flaps ahead of time to ensure they move all the way open or closed (check YouTube for test videos). The screws from the DISA valve can be re-used (or buy new ones from the links below).

This kit uses mostly parts manufactured by Rein Automotive (CRP) - a front-line supplier of original equipment, private label, and in-house engineered replacement parts. Rein replacement products meet or exceed all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and they carry out testing with ISO and German TUV for quality control. Rein parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.

As a direct replacement upgrade it has not been designed to trick or disable any emissions controls. It is designed to work with all factory emissions controls in place. However, it has not been evaluated nor tested for emissions compliance and is not legal for installation or use in California on any pollution controlled motor vehicle or in any state, province, or jurisdiction governed by, or which has adopted, CARB regulations for aftermarket parts.
