The aFe Magnum Force Intake Kit is a complete performance replacement for your E46 325i (non-ULEV) factory air intake system. aFe Magnum Force kits are fully engineered intake systems designed to maximize performance gains with no check engine lights or similar issues, and the intake systems are engineered with specific performance goals rather than just putting together a kit to fit in the available space. In-house injection molding machines allow the use of more complex intake tube designs which focus on increasing airflow and velocity for maximum performance gains. aFe gives you real performance - you get much more than just pretty parts under your hood and great intake sounds.
aFe's innovative filter design is well beyond anything else available on the market, and it represents the next evolution of lifetime, user-serviceable filters. While traditional oiled-fabric filters use layers of cotton gauze, aFe filters are made from 6 staggered layers of precision-woven cotton fabric of decreasing weave size. This unique design method maximizes airflow while ensuring that contaminates are kept out of your expensive engine. You get clean air, and lots of it!
The aFe Magnum Force Intake Kit doesn't just try to block turbulent air and get some cool air in the process... The full heat shielding completely keeps the incoming air separate from the rest of the hot engine compartment, and this ensures that the intake charge is as dense as possible for maximum power. Several aFe intake kits also replace the factory mass air meter housing (sensor insert is transplanted), and employ a cover to fully enclose the intake compartment.
This kit uses existing mounting points, so there's no need to drill into your car or perform any modifications to allow fitment. Installation can be done on your own in less than an hour in most cases.
