The turbocharged B46/B48 engine in your BMW is built to perform reliably and efficiently, but the engineers still left some room for improvement. Upgrading the air intake piping has 2 main benefits:

Improved Reliability: BMW B-Series engines use a pair of plastic pipes to route combustion air to the engine. The intake pipe connects the intake airbox to the turbocharger inlet, and the charge pipe connects the turbocharger to the top-mount intercooler. The factory plastic pipes are a common failure point. With age and constant heat cycles, the plastic becomes brittle and often cracks, resulting in boost leaks, check engine lights, and poor running conditions.  Included installation hardware, seals, and a set of robust 3-ply silicone couplers prevents air leaks, adding extreme durability under heavy loads.

Increased Performance: Replacing the molded plastic charge-air pipe with a smooth aluminum FTP chargepipe improves throttle response and reduces turbo lag. Similarly, the upgraded inlet pipe improves turbocharger response, adds mid-range power, and eliminates the factory intake resonator/sound generator, if originally equipped. The charge pipe also features a  1/8" NPT threaded port for water/methanol injection.

This kit is designed to fit BMW G30 530i/530e (2017-2023) G01 X3 30i/30e (2018-2023), and G02 X4 30i (2018-2023).

Replaces BMW intake pipe # 13718663614 and charge-air pipe # 13718601683.
