The turbocharged B58 engine in your BMW is built to perform reliably and efficiently, but the engineers still left some room for improvement. Upgrading the charge-air piping has 2 main benefits:

Improved Reliability: BMW B-Series engines use a plastic pipe to route combustion air from the intake airbox to the turbocharger. The factory plastic pipe is a common failure point. With age and constant heat cycles, the plastic becomes brittle and develops cracks, resulting in air leaks, check engine lights, and poor running conditions. Included installation hardware, o-ring seal, and a robust 3-ply silicone coupler prevents air leaks, adding extreme durability under heavy loads.

Increased Performance: Replacing the molded plastic charge-air pipe with a smooth aluminum FTP inlet pipe improves turbocharger response, adds mid-range power, and eliminates the factory intake resonator/sound generator, if originally equipped.

This kit is designed to fit BMW G30 540i (2017-2023), G12 740i B58A (2016-2018), G14/G15/G16 840i B58D (2020+), G01 X3 M40i (2020-2024), G02 X4 M40i (2020-2024), G05 X5 40i (2019-2023), G06 X6 40i (2020-2023), and G07 X7 40i (2018-2022).

Replaces BMW intake pipe # 13717643302 (13-71-7-643-302).
