Turbo Outlet Hot-Side Charge Pipe Kit - G8X M2/M3/M4, S58

Aluminum turbo hot-side charge pipes are an upgrade for G87 M2, G80 M3, and G82/G83 M4 with the S58 engine.

Plastic is a curious choice for a hot-side charge pipe - the ducting exiting the turbos and into the top-mount intercooler. Plastic will get brittle with age and exposure to oil and chemicals and will eventually fail. We haven't see a factory plastic charge pipe that hasn't cracked. This S58 chargepipe upgrade uses 6061 aluminum that is light weight and far stronger than the original plastic. These are mandrel bent for a perfect fit and minimal flow restriction. Silicone elbows complete the package. Replaces BMW part numbers 13718054842, 13718054840, 13718054841, 13718089754, 13718054843 and covers the chargepipes from both S58 turbos to the throttle body.

Although there may be a small performance benefit to this turbo intercooler pipe, the main benefit is the stronger material and better reliability be replacing a fragile rubber pipe section with a stronger aluminum version. Rubber is a good selection for an initial install but heat and chemicals will break down and weaken the material over time. There are no such worries with an aluminum version and this piece also uses all of the factory connections to the turbo and intercooler. Precision CNC machining ensures a leak free connection to the turbocharger and intercooler.
