If you plan to take your 135i/335i/535i N54 to 400hp or more, it will be a good idea to eliminate the stock boost diverter valves altogether. This cp-e intake chargepipe for the 2007-2010 E82 135i, E90/E92 335i, and E60 535i replaces the stock plastic charge pipe with a stroner and better manufactured T-6061 aluminum pipe that will accept a Tial Blow-Off Valve. The stock diverter valves are unreliable on their own but become a real problem with simple bolt-on upgrades. They don't seal well and allow too much boost to escape. Since venting un-needed boosted air is required, the best way around the stock diverter valves is with a blow-off valve that vents to the engine bay. The Tial BOV is a more compact design than HKS and comes in multiple color choices, including black. While not as famous as HKS, the Tial is the highest flowing BOV on the market. The characteristic "whoosh" turbo sound missing from the stock system is added in with a more refined sound than the HKS unit.

The stock intake pipe has several glaring weak spots which require attention before any modifications - along the body of the pipe, the necks for the original boost diverter valves, and at the connection to the throttle body. A hole or crack at any one of these spots will allow charged intake air to escape into the engine bay instead of making it into the engine. What good is any turbo upgrade if the forced air never makes it into the engine? The cp-e N54 chargepipe is stronger and better manufactured to eliminate boost leaks as a problem.

All connection pieces are included for a seamless install. However, we do strongly recommend upgrading the throttle body c-clip at the same time. This pipe works with the Tial Sport Q BOV which is sold separately. An additional bung is installed for connecting methanol injection.

Notice of Emissions Non-Compliance. The intake component is part of a vehicle's emissions equipment. Removing, disabling, or altering emissions equipment on a pollution-controlled road vehicle is illegal. Installing devices or software that trick, disable, or modify emissions controls and monitors on a pollution-controlled road vehicle is also illegal. Unless noted above, this product is not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution controlled motor vehicle.
