This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 63217162302 (63-21-7-162-302) and is described as Taillight, Right side (passenger side) for the 2007-2010 model BMW 3 Series, E93 chassis. 

The tail lights on the E93 retractable hardtop convertible are specific to the body style. This tail light is the early style, which was found on all 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 models. If your car is after 2010, then you will need the later style (and not this one.) This early style was also known as the pre-facelift style (or non-LCI, if you are familiar with BMW's "life cycle impulse" terminology.) If your 328i, 335i or M3 convertible is a 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010 then this should be the correct tail light for your BMW.
