The Lifeline Zero 360 waterless fire extinguisher uses the highly efficient gaseous suppressant FK 5-1-12 (aka Novec 1230). Designed specifically for the rigors of motorsport and perfect for use in the paddock, pits, or for small fires on your car or your buddy's car when on track or off-road!
Novec suppresses fire by removing (absorbing) heat and blocking oxygen. It starts as a liquid but is atomized into a heavy gas as it exits the nozzle and the fog travels to all surfaces. The vapor alone is enough to suppress flame as it expands. This means you can do more with less - it does not require as much material so your bottle can be smaller (less weight). Novec is not harmful to electronics or humans and is non-corrosive. Clean-up is super easy as the material evaporates and there is no residue left behind.
Note: Lifeline does NOT recommend using a hand held extinguisher of any kind as your only and/or primary source of fire protection. A hand held extinguisher is a complementary piece to be installed in addition to a fully plumbed-in fire suppression system which offers larger coverage and better performance when you have just seconds to egress the vehicle.
"Novec” is a brand name owned by 3M and will be discontinued by 2025. The gas itself is still available from European suppliers but will not be marketed under the Novec brand name. It's the same molecular composition and fire suppression performance, just under different name(s).
This bracket is an easy bolt-on solution to mounting an Element Fire Stick under the passenger seat of most 3-series BMWs - E30, E46, E90*, E91*, E92*. Unlike other universal brackets on the market, ours is designed specifically for the Element fire extinguishers and is Made in the USA. Other brackets are made outside of the US and are not bottle-specific, leading to inadequate and potentially unsafe mounting.
*E9X Fitment Note: The seat track width is the narrowest of the models listed and fitment will be tight but we confirmed installation on multiple E9X models before release.
