The 275 system is currently the lightest and most compact Lifeline system available. The 275 is a "dual agent" system - spraying the engine bay with ColdFire foam for gas and oil fire but dispensing Monnex powder on the interior, keeping your expensive electronics safe. Both are considered "next generation" suppressant materials, with outstanding knockdown capability with less material. The full system, including all ancillaries, weighs under 3.5kgs (7.7lbs)! The 275 system is so advanced it's used on a number of factory motorsports programs, including BMW.
Electric systems are activated by pressing a strategically-mounted momentary push button. Using a military specification actuator to detonate the extinguisher, the actuator extends a steel pin, breaking a thin seal in the neck of the cylinder and discharging the contents. All electrical systems have their own independent battery power supply capable of checking battery strength and circuit continuity as well as giving a visible indication that the system is armed.

* - 1.0kg is the total weight of both suppressants. As a dual-agent system it's hard to make a direct comparison with a single system like AFFF or Novec. The total volume coverage is 0-4m3
(141 cu ft). BMW uses this system in their M2 GT4 and M4 GT3 race cars so the system volume is more than adequate for cars of similar or smaller volume.
