Reinforcing a harness mout point is essential when the location has not been engineered by the auto manufacturer. Any time you mount a harness to sheet metal, you will need to put a reinforcement plate under it to keep it from ripping out of the floor.No welding required, but plate can be welded to chassis for increased strength. Rectangular mounting belt plate is threaded with a 7/16"nut.
