The premium Krontec Quick Release is the nicest piece we have seen available, but the large ID diameter makes welding it on a little tricky. Adding our Installation Sleeve will reduce the ID of the weld-on spud to approximately 21.5mm, the correct diameter of most BMW steering column shafts, making alignment and centering of this assembly a simple operation.
