LF-30 Power Steering Pump Upgrade Kit, Basic - E46 325i/330i

Updated power steering pump for E46 325i/330i that results in slightly more steering feel and feedback than the original LF-20 pump. After complaints from owners that the E46 steering was overboosted and too light, BMW released this LF30 pump. Enthusiasts will appreciate this pump's slightly higher steering effort.

Don't forget to replace your belt and fluid reservoir if they show signs of wear or leaks. You can also use an aluminum pulley in place of the original plastic that are known to break apart. We have an Extended kit that has more parts that can be replaced for a bigger/better overhaul.

Fill your system with the same fluid as what is currently in the car. The LF30 pump is compatible with either CHF/EHF or ATF but the fluids cannot be mixed! CHF/EHF is green and ATF is red so check your system and order new fluid to top off.

This is an OEM PS pump manufactured by LuK - the original supplier to BMW for this part, as well as many other steering and driveline parts. As the OEM it meets all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and is TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.

BMW offered the LF30 pump as an upgrade at the time. It's possible that your car came with LF20 and was then upgraded by the dealer to LF30. The pump is available separately if you only need to replace it. Or use this kit as a nice overhaul.
