This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 31331090611 (31 33 1 090 611) and is described as Front Upper Strut Mount for the E38 chassis BMW 7 series, which includes 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001 model 740i, 740il, 750i and 750il. 

This Front Strut Mount (FSM) is made by Lemfoerder (Lemforder), an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for BMW. This is the highest quality replacement possible, and is our choice for an E38 7 series front suspension mount overhaul job. Any time your front struts are removed or replaced, you should strongly consider using a new front strut mount instead of using old, tired mounts which may fail (or already be failing). 

This mount fits either the Left or Right side of the car (Driver side or passenger side). Sold Individually, so be sure to order two if you are replacing both sides.
