This part replaces BMW part number 37206799419 / 37 20 679 9 419. This air pump / compressor is controlled by the rear air suspension system and inflates and deflates the rear air springs on the 2007-2013 BMW X5 and 2008-2014 BMW X6 models with rear air suspension.
When the air compressor fails, it will leave your X5 or X6 having a drooping rear suspension, unable to re-inflate itself. The rear end of the car will look way to low to the eye, and the ride quality will be terrible (and potentially unsafe!) You'll also get a warning light and codes for rear air suspension fault.
Fortunately Bilstein makes this OE specification replacement rear air suspension compressor which plugs in just like the original and can fix your broken compressor and deflated rear air suspension.
For BMW X5, E70 chassis (model years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013) and BMW X6, E71 chassis (model years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014).
