This is the OEM Lemforder hydrobearing bushing for the front tension strut on the F10 528xi/535xi/550xi, F06 640xi/650xi GranCoupe, F12/F13 640xi/650xi, and F01/F02 750iX/750LiX xDrive models. The tension strut is also known as the thrust arm and is the forward-most control arm on the F10/F06/F12/F13/F02 chassis. The bushing is filled with a vibration-absorbing fluid that does a great job of isolating bumps and rough roads, until the fluid leaks or evaporates. Worn F10/F06/F12/F13 bushings will affect the ride, handling, and steering of the car and can also cause clunking noises and vibrations. To restore steering precision and taught handling, replace the tension strut bushing at the first sign of wear.

Note: the aluminum tension strut arm is only expected to receive one bushing change before the arm should be replaced. BMW techs are trained to add a punch mark on the inner edge of the bushing where it's pressed into the arm. If a punch mark is present BMW requires the arm be replaced. Pressing out/in another bushing may result in the clearance around the bushing to be too large or may crack the arm.

This is an OEM bushing (hydrobearing) for the tension strut / thrust arm, made by Lemforder, one of the original suppliers to BMW of this part and many other suspension components on your car. It comes with a two year warranty. Sold per bushing.
