Front Tension Strut Bushing (FCAB), Meyle HD - F15 X5, F16 X6 (not Active Steering)

These Meyle HD upper control arm bushings for the 2014-2018 F15 X5 35d/35i/50i and F16 X6 35i/50i are a stiffer rubber compound than the original bushing. This helps improve steering feel and feedback but without hurting ride quality. The stiffer bushing allows less deflection of the control arm, which makes the steering feel more precise.

The upper control arm, also known as the tension strut or thrust arm, is the forward arm in the X5/X6 front suspension. The inner bushing is often replaced when the rubber degrades over time or from rough pavement. The bushing can no longer dampen suspension movement and you end up with a steering vibration, imprecise steering feel, and sloppy handling in your X5/X6.

These new bushings are made by Meyle, a leading supplier of bushing upgrades for European vehicles. Meyle recognizes shortcomings in original bushing designs and makes improvements that have positive effects in handling, steering, and the longevity of the bushing.
