Front Hybrid Offset Control Arm Bushings (FCAB), Powerflex Track - E46 323i/328i (60mm)

E46 note: these fit with the original 60mm control arm brackets, typically found on early model E46 cars. Most E46 cars have been updated to the later 66mm brackets.

PFF5-5601G-60 offers additional +0.5° of caster over the standard Powerflex bushing. These are a track-focused design, aimed at offering greater precision for people wanting the very best from their E46 or Z4M. Testing during the development of this bush has indicated stiffness gains of 190% compared with the original rubber bushing. This new part, fitted to the rear of the front wishbone has a hard anodized aluminium outer shell with one of our unique low friction polyurethane center bushing. The poly/aluminum combination creates a low friction rotating bush reducing the forces acting on the arm. Control arm deflection has been decreased by reducing the compliant material within the aluminium shell. Results are less movement in the arm under cornering and braking, improving steering control and feel.

Powerflex has extensive experience in automotive suspension and chassis systems and has combined these skills with advanced polyurethane manufacturing techniques. Bushing durometer (stiffness) has been carefully selected for specific uses:

Track/Race-only is for dedicated track cars that are never intended to be driven on the street (you might throw a plate on it and run to the store). Basically, if your car has racing harnesses instead of seat belts. These will be the stiffest urethane or Delrin for near-zero deflection and extremely precise alignment settings. NVH and comfort is not a factor in the engineering of these bushings. Our preference is for Delrin over Black urethane for track use.

Note: Powerflex copper-based grease is supplied with every bushing set, and they will rarely need re-lubing due to the unique design features built into the material to hold the lubricant.
