Adjustable front sway bar links for E46, E46 M3, and Z4 with stock or MCS struts. 9.75-10.75 actual length (247-273mm).

The BimmerWorld View: Adjustable-length sway bar links solve a number of issues that may come up when installing bigger bars or changing the ride height of the car, especially with coilovers. These are an essential upgrade to ensure consistent and optimal swaybar performance. Adjustable links not only help with alignment and clearance but they can improve the effectiveness and performance of the bar itself.

BimmerWorld Adjustable Swaybar End Link features:
+ The ball joint is precision-ground, heat-treated, hard-chrome-plated steel with a Teflon inner coating for the best and most durable performance possible
+ The ends are 4130 heat-treated, nickel-plated, chromoly steel
+ Each end link has opposing thread patterns making on-car adjustments and fine tuning an easy process
+ The rods are anodized swaged 6061 alloy for added strength compared to standard rods
+ A knurled ring indicates left handed threads
+ Vehicle or suspension-specific lengths. Other lengths available for custom fitments. Length is measured from the center of each ball stud.

Adjustable sway bar links solve three distinct issues: eliminate pre-load, optimize bar performance, clearance the sway bar from other components.

Eliminating pre-load is the more common reason for adjustable links. Pre-loading happens when side:side ride heights are different. This is common with coil overs. The fixed bushing location and different ride height means the bar is now crooked on the car. You will find that non-adjustable links no longer match up to the holes on the bar, requiring an adjustable link to avoid pre-loading or twisting the bar. While a single link can achieve that we feel that a pair of adjustable links has greater benefits.

You can optimize sway bar performance by aligning the ends with the bushing mounts on the chassis. The bar is most effective when it's straight and with the fewest angles and bends. A pair of adjustable links will allow you to rotate the bar to get it to an optimum position - the links straight up and down and the ends of the bar in a straight line to the bushing mount.

Adjustable links are also used to ensure clearance between the bar and other components. While the bar should be in an optimum alignment to ensure performance (see above) that may mean interference with other components. Use the adjustable links to avoid contact while the suspension is at ride height and goes through its compression. Clearance with the suspension in droop (such as on a lift) is less of a concern.

Sold as a pair.
