This is a Genuine BMW kit for the front left tension strut on the F10 528xi/535xi/550xi, F06 640xi/650xi GranCoupe, and F12/F13 640xi/650xi (AWD xDrive) models. This is the factory overhaul kit that includes the control arm and all hardware.

The tension strut is also known as the thrust arm and is the forward-most control arm on the F10/F06/F12/F13 chassis. The arm includes the outer ball joint and inner hydrobearing bushing. The bushing is filled with a vibration-absorbing fluid that does a great job of isolating bumps and rough roads, until the fluid leaks or evaporates.

Worn F10/F06/F12/F13 bushings will affect the ride, handling, and steering of the car and can also cause clunking noises and vibrations. A new bushing is only available with the complete tension strut arm (not sold separately). To restore steering precision and taught handling, replace the complete tension strut at the first sign of wear.

This is a Genuine BMW control arm kit with a two year warranty. Buying a Genuine part will usually be more expensive than an OEM or aftermarket brand but you are assured that it meets BMW's designs for fitment, performance, and longevity. It will also be the very latest design, incorporating any updates or revisions that an aftermarket brand typically will ignore.
