This suspension package combines KONI Yellow sport shocks with H&R Sport springs designed specifically for the E30 325iX AWD models. H&R Sport springs drop the 325iX by 1.2 inches front and 1.2" in the rear. With a lowered ride height and stiffer spring there is less bodyroll in turns and better weight transfer. The ride height gives a raked look and aggressive stance. H&R springs are progressively wound - they get stiffer as they are compressed and are stiffer overall than Eibach Pro-Kit or Sportline. If you're looking for the most aggressive spring that still retains some ride comfort, the H&R Sport are the choice for many enthusiasts.
This set of Koni Shocks/Struts is designed for sport/lowered springs and features digressive valving combined with adjustable rebound settings. Digressive valving is stiffer than OEM shocks on slow suspension motions (cornering) but gets softer as shock piston speeds increase (bumpy pavement). These shocks are tuned for sporty handling but engineered to maintain a level of ride comfort acceptable to most.
The shock rebound (extension) setting is adjustable - use the base setting at first and as the shock ages you can switch to the stiffer setting. Or jump right to the stiffer setting for ultimate control. Front rebound adjustment is done via a knob at the top of the strut (in the engine bay). Rear rebound adjustment is made by removing the shock, compressing it, and turning the shock body to engage the new setting.
