Our Lifetime E30/E36/E46 3 Series Rear Shock Mount Set is a great solution for the weakest bushings on the '84 and up 3-Series cars. Even BMW has gone through more than 5 generations of designs on this bushing, and the newest mount is still prone to failure! 

This replacement mount set, based on the popular JTD performance rear shock mount (but made for higher production), was released initially for sale to repair shops to eliminate the common come-back service expense associated with factory mounts. These mounts are now available directly from BimmerWorld.
The problem with the factory RSM design is that the rear shocks don't take vertical loads only; the trailing arm has an arced range of motion. This forces the shock to pivot around in the upper shock mount, which eventually causes the adhesive bond in the stock rubber mount to fail - a process expedited when combined with performance shocks.

This design allows the pivoting motion and dramatically extends the life of the mount. We are so confident in these mounts that if they ever fail, you can trade them in for a new set at no charge! 

These lifetime mounts are made with high-quality Buna rubber to eliminate squeaks and a high-production stamped steel plate. Not only will they outlast the factory option by a longshot, but the price for these extraordinary mounts is close to the BMW factory price. 

Fits all 1984-2006 E30, E36, E46 3-Series cars (including convertibles), all Z3, and all 2003-2008 Z4 models.
