Control Arm Outer Ball Joint, Lemforder - E30 318i/325e/325i

This is an OE replacement outer front ball joint for the front control arms. The outer ball joint can be replaced on its own if the rest of the control arm is in good shape. Professional installation is required as the ball joint must be pressed out of the control arm. Fits with steel control arms only. This can be used on either left or right side of the car (driver or passenger side), and is sold individually. (Be sure to order two if you are replacing both sides on your E30!) 

This part is manufactured by Lemforder (Lemfoerder), a very high quality supplier of European auto parts, and OE manufacturer for BMW for many suspension components. While there are less expensive aftermarket brands, if you are going to replacing the outer ball joint on your E30 control arm (a less expensive option than replacing the entire arm) we feel you should use the best quality ball joint available, so that it lasts and performs better than the cheap replacement version. 

This outer ball joint is found on all non-M and RWD model classis E30 series, such as the 318i, 318is, 325, 325e, 325es, 325i, 325is and 325ic (sedan, coupe and convertible). You'll find this style ball joint on these 3 series models for the 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991. You'll also find them on the 1992 and 1993 model year convertibles (which were produced later than the E30 coupe and sedan models). 

Not for cars with upgraded aluminum control arms. This ball join is for the stock steel control arm design only.
