The 2007-2013 E70 X5, 2014-2018 F15 X5, F85 X5M, 2008-2014 E71 X6, 2015-2019 F16 X6, and F86 X6M suffer from excessive rear camber alignment that wears the inside edge of the rear tires. Look at any X5/X6 on the road and the rear camber is shocking! The problem is only made worse by sagging springs or worn-out suspension bushings that allow too much variance in the rear alignment. By correcting the camber to a less-aggressive setting you can save money and greatly prolong the life of your rear tires.
This pair of rear upper wishbone arms replace the factory BMW upper control arms, part numbers 33326796001 and 33326796002. They feature an inner adjustable mounting hole and an outer eccentric ball joint. The outer eccentric is oblong shaped so by turning its orientation in the suspension you can change the camber spec. The complete arm is adjustable from -1° to +3° of camber. The rubber bushings are just like OEM bushings so ride quality and comfort are unchanged. The SPC X5/X6 arms are made from forged aluminum for superior strength and fit just like the factory arms. They come with a limited lifetime warranty.
Note: Reducing negative camber will change the X5/X6's handling and may decrease cornering grip during extreme maneuvers. Going to positive camber is never recommended. Consult with your alignment specialist on the best settings to use and always adjust to the safest setting.
This is a great video demonstrating the basic install and the adjustment method for the X5/X6 SPC rear camber arms.
