Spring pads are a wear and tear item that should be replaced whenever the springs are removed from the car. The rubber pads take the most punishment as the spring shifts, winds, and unwinds in the perch. Spring pads act as isolators and are often ripped, torn, or split which affects ride height, noise, and comfort.

This rear upper spring pad is particular to the E30 3 series(1984-1991, and convertibles through 1993), as well as the 1995-1999 318ti Compact / Hatchback, which used an E30 style rear suspension.
