This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 37126790082 (37 12 6 790 082) and is described as Pneumatic Spring (Air spring), Rear for the first generation BMW X6 )the  E71 chassis) with self-leveling / Adaptive rear suspension. 

This rear air spring is for cars with the self-leveling suspension, option code S220A and Adaptive Suspension, option code S2VAA. It can be used on either the left side (driver side) or the right side (passenger side) of the BMW X6. This part replaces any previous part numbers including superseded / obsolete BMW part number 37126783420 (37 12 6 783 420) and can be used on any 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 or 2014 model X6 (as long as it came with Adaptive Suspension, with the SLS / self-leveling system). 

This is a high-quality aftermarket replacement which functions just as the original air spring did, but at a substantial cost savings to the expensive Genuine BMW part.
