This rear spring is for the 1992 and later E34 525i and 525iT (Touring Wagon) models, as offered in 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995 -- for vehicles with the standard (non self-leveling) rear suspension only. These springs are not for cars before 1992, and only work with the later cars that came with the M50 2.5 liter straight six.
Bilstein B3 springs are perfect for the 525i owner who needs to replace worn, sagging, or broken rear springs and does not want to use sport / lowering springs. If you want to preserve or restore the original stock ride height and ride comfort, these springs are likely an affordable solution.
