Power Steering Pump Pulley, Rein - E60 525i/530i, E83 X3 2.5i/3.0i (M54)

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 32427516848 (32 42 7 516 848) and is described as an upgraded aluminum pulley for the power steering pump on 2004-2006 E60 525i/530i and E83 X3 2.5i/3.0i (M54 engine). This is not for cars that have the factory Dynamic Drive option (active sway bars).

It is essential to inspect this pulley for any signs of failure any time you have access to it (belt change, intercooler change, or any time the undertray panel is removed. Cracks can form in the original plastic or the belt grooves can chip. If left unattended the entire pulley can shatter and send sharp plastic throughout the engine bay.
