These front M4 CSL hub carriers are a direct bolt-on upgrade for G80 M3, G82 M4, and G87 M2 cars to add 0.5-0.75° of negative camber to the front. This is front carriers for both left and right with replacement hardware (also available without hardware*).
Part of the CSL handling magic is the front alignment and fixed camber. With more negative camber the front tires grip better in turns and the steering is sharper. More negative camber is always desirable on BMWs to reduce the factory understeer and improve dynamics. Traditional camber plates have limited effect on the G8X because of the small area under the strut tower - there's not much room for the spring to move inward. These “wheel hubs” increase negative camber by other means and are a sweet upgrade using Genuine BMW components.
Everything from your existing suspension will bolt on to these CSL spindles - wheel bearings, hubs, brakes, strut assembly, control arms, DSC sensor, and brake dust shield. It's a little bit of an involved installation but worth it to gain negative camber without using tubular spherical control arms or other race-derived tricks. Keep your original control arms, springs, and struts for original levels of ride and comfort.
*because most of the factory fasteners are torque-to-yield (TTY) BMW requires replacing the nuts and bolts whenever they are loosened or removed. This package includes the nuts and bolts that attach to the kingpins as well as some others for components that you may remove. Inner control arm bolts and nuts are not included (see Related Items below). The carriers are also available without the hardware but this is not recommended given the factory replacement recommendations. Call or email to place an order for just the carriers.
