Front Outer Ball Joint, BMW - 1602, 2002, 2002tii (1967-1976)

This is the outer ball joint for the front control arms on 1602-2002 models. The outer ball joint can be replaced separate from the thrust arm on these models but there is also an inner bushing to be replaced as well (see links below).

Worn 2002 ball joints will affect the ride, handling, and steering of the car and can also cause clunking noises and vibrations. To restore steering precision and taught handling, replace the tension strut ball joint at the first sign of wear.

This is a Genuine BMW ball joint with a two year warranty. Buying a Genuine part will usually be more expensive than an OEM or aftermarket brand but you are assured that it meets BMW's designs for fitment, performance, and longevity.
