Rear Shock Mount (RSM), Lemforder M3 - E30, E36, E46, Z3, Z4

The rear shock mount is where the top of the rear shock meets the body on E30, E36, E46, Z3, and Z4 models. This is the OEM mount for the E46 M3 that is an upgrade for all other models.

A lot of different mounts were used by BMW but they are all basically the same for the models listed below. Stock mounts are a known failure point as the rubber center separates from the metal base and the top of the shock ends up in your trunk. There were several heavy-duty mounts (E30 cabrio and E46 M3) but this part number is for the standard mount only. We strongly recommend the E46 M3, Meyle HD, Repair Shop, or Powerflex mounts as they have better designs than this original.

This mount can be used as an upgrade to BMW part numbers 33504035929, 33521128819, 33521132104, 33522226489, 33521125554, 37121133412, 33521092362, 33521137972, 33504035931, and 33526754096. Since the old 104 mounts are discontinued by BMW, this is the next-best option for an OEM style mount.

This is an OEM RSM manufactured by Lemforder - the original supplier to BMW for this part, as well as many other suspension components. As the OEM it meets all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and is TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.
