On F25 X3 and F26 X4 models, the front upper ball joint is sold separately from the control arm/tension strut. This OEM ball joint firs the left or right side, and is sold individually.
Worn X3/X4 ball joints will affect the ride, handling, and steering of the car and can also cause clunking noises and vibrations. To restore steering precision and taught handling, replace the tension strut ball joint at the first sign of wear.
