Powerflex performance urethane bushings for the rear diff mount on the G87 M2, G80 M3, and G82 M4 will reduce differential movement under loading/unloading and give a more secure and direct feel to the rear axle. The original bushings are rubber with voids around the bushing that allow the differential to shift and move - especially as more power is added or the car is tracked. Added torque and track driving combined with the voids will lead to the bushings wearing faster. Performance bushings that are stiffer than stock do not allow as much movement, "wind-up" or deflection. This keeps the differential in line and allows more direct power transfer to the wheels. Not only will these provide a noticeable improvement in performance, but they're guaranteed to last a lifetime!
Powerflex has extensive experience in automotive suspension and chassis systems and has combined these skills with advanced polyurethane manufacturing techniques. Durometer is standardized per fitment and location, so you can rest assured knowing the design engineers have selected the optimal urethane hardness for this specific part.
Street Performance for slightly more sport and precision in daily driving environments. Urethane material for less deflection, more precise handling, and better response but while retaining comfort for street use. These give your BMW the performance it should have had instead of a compromise.
Street/Track is a firmer urethane material that will further reduce deflection and provide a more rigid mount. These are typically on the edge of street-ability; firmer bushings will have more noise and vibration than a rubber or the Purple urethane but still acceptable for most for normal street use. For true racing or track use you would look for a Delrin or aluminum mount.
Note: Powerflex copper-based grease is supplied with every bushing set, and they will rarely need re-lubing due to the unique design features built into the material to hold the lubricant.
