These Meyle HD traction strut bushings for E9X 325xi/328xi/330xi/335xi and E84 X1 are a stiffer rubber compound than the original bushing. This helps improve steering feel and feedback but without hurting ride quality. The stiffer bushing allows less deflection of the control arm, which makes the steering feel more precise.

The traction strut, also known as the upper control arm or tension strut, is the rear-most arm in the E9X front suspension. The inner bushing is often replaced when the rubber degrades over time or from rough pavement. The bushing can no longer dampen suspension movement and you end up with a steering vibration, imprecise steering feel, and sloppy handling in your E9X.
