Rear Left Subframe Mount with Housing, Soft, BMW - E21 320i/323i

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 33331118569 (33 33 1 118 569) and is described as the Left Rear Subframe Mount (with Housing) for E21 320i/323i. BMW offers subframe mounts as a Soft or Hard rubber and this is the Soft version. We're not sure how much difference there is between the two. For performance we would lean toward the Hard version (or the Powerflex urethane). The Soft should be used if ride quality is more important than crisp handling. Rear subframe mounts should only be replaced in pairs so their performance is consistent.

Subframe mounts are the heart of the rear suspension. It's the point where the entire subframe meets the body. Any flex or wear on a subframe mount will translate throughout the rear suspension. Worn subframe mounts will cause the alignment to change, especially when driven hard. It will also likely cause clunk and thud noises as the subframe moves around. OEM rubber mounts are the preferred choice to restore the original ride and handling, as well as preserve a car's originality. For greater performance we recommend the Powerflex urethane subframe mounts (see Related Items below).

This is a Genuine BMW E21 rear subframe mount with a two year warranty. Buying a Genuine part will usually be more expensive than an OEM or aftermarket brand but you are assured that it meets BMW's designs for fitment, performance, and longevity.
