This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 31206795249 (31 20 6 795 249) and is described as a axle collar screw with spring. This axle bolt is used to secure the drive axle to the hub on many BMW models. BMW requires this front hub bolt be replaced any time it is loosened.
When installing on xDrive models ensure the spur gear on the back of the bearing engages the output shaft cleanly. Align gear by rotating the wheel and tighten outer collar screw by hand. Once fully aligned and seated torque collar screw to 210Nm (154ft-lbs) + 90°.
