Adding a second mounting point for the rear differential helps with rigidity, torque transfer, and prolongs the life of the bushings. BMW included a provision for a second rear mount but decided against it. This makes it very easy to add a second bushing to the right side and create a true dual-ear mount with the addition of a new bracket.

This Powerflex aluminum bracket is sold on its own (a new bolt is included). This allows you to source your own bushings. Note that you must replace both bushings at this time, and possibly the front set as well, to avoid having mis-matched bushing types.
OEM - BMW replaced their original rubber mount with a hybrid urethane/rubber mount. You should order two to account for wear and tear on the original left side mount.
Powerflex Street (Purple) - similar to the OE mount but with all-urethane material and a stainless insert. This is designed for street use and will have NVH characteristics similar to the OE mount but with slightly better performance and a lifetime warranty. Street bushings should be paired with the matching front Street bushings.
Powerflex Track (Black) - a semi-rigid mount intended for dual-purpose track/street cars. The harder compound will increase NVH slightly but not as much as solid aluminum or Delrin materials. This may be tolerable for street use if you don't mind the added harshness. Track bushings must be paired with the matching front Street bushings.
