Genuine BMW xAUC Sensor - F07 F10 F06 F12 F13

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 64115A35099 (64 11 5 A35 099) which replaces 64116826346 (64-11-6-826-346) and is described as Genuine BMW xAUC Ambient Temperature Sensor for HVAC system on F01/F02 7 Series (2009-2015), F10 5 Series (2011-2016), F)7 5 Series GT, F12/F13 6 Series (2012-2018), and F06 6 Series Gran Coupe (GC) models.

This sensor is used by the heat and air conditioning system on these F-chassis 5/6/7 series, and has proven to be somewhat failure prone. It samples the cabin air temp to determine how to auto-adjust the HVAC system. When it fails, it makes adjusting heat/AC problematic. A failure might show itself in a few different way such as “having a mind of its own” or the blower fan speed / temp controls not responding as expected. You may also receive an internal fault in the automatic air recirculation control sensor using diagnostic tools.
